The short version

We do not ask you for personal information, and there is nothing on this site to sign up to. We do use analytics and advertising, and those set cookies. That is the whole of it.

What is collected

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It records things like the page you are on, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device you used. We do not use it to identify anyone.

Advertising. This site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads, including ads based on your previous visits to this or other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google’s Ads Settings.

Affiliate links. Some pages carry affiliate links, marked where they appear. If you follow one and book something, the operator may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Following the link passes a referral code to that operator; what they then collect is governed by their own privacy policy, not ours.

What is not collected

We run no newsletter, no accounts, no comments and no contact form on this site, so we hold no email addresses, no names and no messages.

Cookies

The cookies set here come from the analytics and advertising services above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU, you have rights over personal data held about you, including access and erasure. Because we do not collect or store personal data ourselves, a request of that kind is best directed at Google, whose services do the collecting.
